The Benchmade 484-1 Nakamura Carbon Fiber is an axis-locking folding knife developed by designer Seiichi Nakamura. The 484-1 varies from the 484 because of it's carbon fiber handle, upgraded S90V steel blade and blue anodized pivot/barrel spacers.
This superbly crafted knife weighs 3.52 ounces, is 7.03" in overall length and closed it is 3.95" long. The size of the knife will allow you to easily carry it and use whether you are left or right handed. Carrying and using the 484-1 is made simple with a black coated reversible pocket clip, black coated ambidextrous dual thumb-stud opener and the patented Benchmark AXIS locking system on both sides of the handle. You will find that opening is smooth and comfortable and locking it in place provides you a sturdy knife that can hold up under serious use.
Handle features include the black weave carbon fiber contoured scales, stainless steel liners, and perfectly placed finger grooves to provide you with slip resistance and comfort. The handle is 0.570" thick and traction is enhanced by the grooves that are strategically placed crosswise in the handle.
The blade is 3.08" long, 0.114" thick and is rated with a 59-61 HRC for edge retention. Made from American-made S90V Super Premium Stainless Steel, the modified drop-point blade provides you with high corrosion resistance and a fine razor sharp edge that will last a long time. The blade is stonewashed for a durable scratch hiding finish. Also, the jimping on the elevated thumb ramp helps to ensure you will be precise while using the 484-1 carbon fiber folding knife.
You will be more than satisfied to carry this USA-made knife as your daily EDC. The Benchmade 484-1 Folding Knife is reliable, durable and easy to carry and use.
