Anders Hogstrom

Anders, a native from Sweden, produces artistically inspired fixed and semi-nordic blades. Each one reflects his impressive knowledge of metal casting, woodworking and "Slobodian" influenced clay tempered blades.

Each knife is unique in many ways - design, handle material and even down to the one-of-a-kind wavy clay temper line. Anders uses choice exotic hardwoods and finishes them to perfection.

One thing that most impressed me was the Japanese/Nordic style shapes and curves. This all grows from an organic and simplistic scheme. The metal fittings on each knife are cast in the "lost wax" casting method. The casting insures an extremely high tolerances and enhanced artistic expression.
