Why make knives? "I enjoy the fit and the finish of a handmade knife. I like close tollerances and the interaction between the various peices of the knife. Knifemaking is the most challenging and satisfying thing I have ever done."
What is important is a knife you make? "My knives should look good and the lines must flow. My knives will just feel alive in your hand."
What is your knifemaking history? "I started in 1977 and joined the knifemakers guild in 1979. After the blade smith's school opened in Old Washington, I was the first person to enroll in a class. Bill Moran taught me basic forging."
