Grayson is the son of knifemaker Brian Tighe. At 18 years of age, Grayson became inspired to design writing instruments with similar materials. He remarked, "I'm currently 20 years old, and I am now ambitiously pursuing the fountain pen market." Much of his success is due to a strong business sense and his desire for a challenge. Grayson found a niche with his pens. Grayson custom makes his pens with luxurious materials with an artistic flair.
