Jerry Corbit is a part-time maker from Kentucky. His interest in Custom Knifemaking began in 1991. I initially made fixed bladed hunting knives, but for the last three or four years have focused entirely on Folding Knives. Liner Locks and automatics are his specialty.
Much of his knowledge and success was influenced by Custom Makers Lee Gene Baskett and Harold J. "Kit" Carson. He says, "To both of them I owe my beginning in the Craft."
Trademarks of a Corbit knife are incredible filework, inlayed spacers, smooth opening, fine materials and craftsmanship. I would recommend Jerry's knives to anyone - he is a knifemaker to watch in the next couple of years. His wait time grows as more people discover his workmanship and quality.
