Master Smith Joeseph SzilaskiJoeseph's experience in metal work began as a teenager in Europe, "I worked as a
blacksmith's apprentice, making knives and cutting tools for hunters and craftsmen, as well as cleavers for the local butchers. I have also worked
as an ornamental ironworker, and in an art foundry as a master detailer on the fine art sculptures produced there. I also do my own sculptures and
carvings."
His background in metalwork, the fine arts has given me the experience to make knives funtional as well as attractive. Each of his knives shows his tremendous handwork and skill. Most of his knives and tomahawks are one-of-a-kind designs with elaborate carvings in fossil mammoth ivory, pearl and damascus steel. Simply put, his carving and damascus work is incredible
