FEATURES: This knife was designed by former U.S. Special Operations Forces Curtis Iovito and Mark Carey as the perfect tool for the Sniper, Ranger or Scout. The 'Nyx' was designed for the modern warrior with a wide blade and saber grind for heavy use tasks such as carving stakes, building camoflage sites/survival sites or simply cutting 550 parachute cord. The knife is coated with a physical vapor deposition process of DLC - diamond like coating - which Spartan Blades calls is Flat Black SpartaCoat. The Nyx design features a filed thumb ramp on the top of the blade and index finger guard on the handle. The design also features an exposed tang in the rear of the knife and a long false top edge. The coating keeps the RC 58-59 Crucible S30V stainless steel both protected and non-reflective. The name of this knife, Nyx, is the goddess of night and darkness is Greek mythology. The knife package is completed with a black nylon MOLLE sheath, lanyard with Spartan helmet bead (specially included with the Spartan Blades that KnifeArt.com sells) and a lifetime warranty.
