The Benchmade Presidio 520 & 525 knifes are some of the best knifes for every-day carry. Made by Mel Pardue, these folding knifes look aesthetically pleasing. Even though the black design is simple, the knifes get the job done. Both knifes can take on the toughest jobs years after the initial purchase. If you're looking for either an every-day carry or a tactical knife with a simple design, the Benchmade Presidio 520 knife or the Benchmade Presidio 525 knife is perfect for you.
The Presidio 520 is the longer and heavier knife of the two Presidios, with a blade length of 3.47 inches and weighing 5.6 oz. Made from stonewashed 154CM American-made Stainless Steel, this 0.125-inch-thick blade is durable for tactical and every-day jobs. When opened, the Presidio 520 measures 8.25 inches; when closed, it measures 4.87 inches. The drop-point blade can be opened manually with the help from the AXIS locking mechanism. The contoured black handle, made from hard anodized 6061-T6 Aluminum, has bi-directional tread to provide a positive grip for the user. The Presidio 520 comes with a standard clip, allowing a reversible tip-up carry for a discrete waist-level carry.
The Presidio 525 is known as the Mini-Presidio, weighing 3.7 oz. The blade is 2.97 inches long. Also made from 154CM stainless steel, this benchmade folding knife is durable and lightweight for every-day tasks. When open, the Mini-Presidio measures 7.12 inches; when closed, it measures 4.15 inches. As with all Benchmade knifes, the Presidio 525 contains the AXIS locking mechanism for easy opening and stability when opened. The drop-point blade also has ambidextrous thumb studs. The black clip also allows for a reversible tip-up carry.
