 Tom OvereynderT.R. "Tom" Overeynder Knives a name that is recognized around the world that stands for quality, fit and finish.
Tom Overeynder began making knives in 1977. He began after seeing a couple handmade knives made by his father-in-law, a tool and die maker. This helped him learn the basics of knifemaking. Overeynder mentioned, "It's my goal and mission as a knifemaker to produce the finest work possible. Anything worth doing is worth doing right. My specialty is in folding knives, both conventional lockbacks and traditional pocketknives."
Tom Overeynder is now a full-time knifemaker after a 36-year career in the aircraft industry. Tom mentioned, that he uses "CPM-154, BG-42, D-2, S30V, S60V, RWL-34 and damascus". Overeynder makes his folding knife handle frames out of stainless steel with upscale handle materials such as mother of pearl, minerals and mammoth and exotic woods.
Overeynder been a voting member of the Knifemaker's Guild since 1983 - never missing a show. He is sole author and do no outsourcing of any of my work.
A native of Texas, his hobbies include large scale radio controlled aerobatic airplanes, fishing, and an avid race fan.
