The Southern Grind Bad Monkey drop point folding knife is a great option for those who need a premium quality first responder or outdoor tool for a less expensive price. Zac Brown of the Zac Brown Band is true knife enthusiast and created Southern Grind Knives to design and manufacture knives that represent his cutlery ideals. Functionality, dependability, ruggedness and affordability are central tenants of this tactical folder with an olive drab handle. American-made Southern Grind knives are produced in Brown's home state of Georgia at his metal production shop, and each one must meet his approval before being made available to the general public.
State of the art production techniques and an unwavering commitment to quality go into making knives that any knife aficionado will love. The Bad Monkey drop point tumbled satin folder is 5.25 inches when closed and has a blade length of 4 inches. The blade is made of Sandvik stainless 14C28N steel, a corrosion-resistant high carbon steel which is known for its incredible sharpness. A Rockwell Hardness of 59-61 means it will retain that edge. The finely ground drop point blade is popular for its all-around effectiveness, and the Bad Monkey has lots of sweet angles that give users an even stronger tactical edge. The Emerson Wave Feature on the back of the blade allows users to withdraw and open their folding knife in a single motion. A satin finish adds an artistic flair and an additional level of wear resistance.
This rugged and productive blade is held in a textured OD green G10 composite handle which feels good in your hand and will blend into nature environments. The Drop Point Bad Monkey has a total length of 9.25 inches and weight of 4.97 ounces, which gives you solid control during fine cutting or tough hacking. This quality tactical folder has titanium liners and spacer pins with a liner lock to keep the blade open. Phosphor bronze bushings are in the pivot for smooth opening and closing with either hand when using the dual thumb studs mounted on the blade spine. Multiple carrying options include the short stonewashed titanium pocket clip and the lanyard hole in the handle. The pocket clip is mounted for blade tip-up carry so your knife doesn't accidentally open.
