New presentation grade desert ironwood E6 model from Matt Connable at William Henry Studio. This knife is designed to bring out a William Henry knife for everyday carry (EDC). Sleek pocket folder, machined handle from aircraft grade aluminum with a mil-spec hard anodized treatment for incredible strength in a lightweight package. The stainless M390 steel used in this knife has long been known in the custom knife community as an excellent steel for edge retention and durability. Each blade is hand satin finished. Great for daily carry with smooth one-hand opening.
The knife is fitted with a reversible stainless steel pocket clip that is mounted on the butt of the knife. Solid button lock design and an integral frame. This individually numbered knife comes with a certificate of authenticity and William Henry presentation box.
I figured out the best technique to open the knife. The nail flick works best. Instead of trying to push the blade open with the meat of my thumb, I just flick it open using my thumbnail instead.
I didnít look at the measurements before I ordered this knife. Now I know why this little bugger weighs just over an ounce. It's probably one of the lightest high quality knives out there. It's definitely a Gentlemanís knife. Itís not so small that I donít want it. I would also be satisfied even if the scales did not have the wood inlays either. My only issue so far is It is a little hard to open. I am not sure if that is due to it being new or because it is so small. I like how the pocket clip is mounted on the end of the scales instead of on the grip side like most other knife brands. I normally remove the pocket clips on my knives since I prefer not advertise I am carrying. As soon as I can get a T5 or T4 Torx bit, I will address it. The knife is well made and exudes quality. I think it is going to become one of the favorites in my rotation.
