Ernest Emerson's first folding Bowie-style knife, the CQC-13 SF is a sleek, sturdy tactical folder built for easy and comfortable everyday carry. The name, "CQC," stands for "Close Quarters Combat," and the CQC-13 SF is a fantastic blade for combat, tactical, and survival uses.

With a 3.875-inch 154 CM stainless steel blade, the CQC-13 SF boasts a Rockwell Hardness rating of 57-59, meaning it straddles the line between exceptional hardness and toughness. The blade will sharpen to an extremely fine edge, and offers excellent edge retention over use, meaning resharpening is required less often. The blade's clip-point style makes the CQC-13 SF ideal for precise cutting and slicing applications. The blade is stonewashed and coated with a satin finish, offering extra resistance to wear and corrosion.

Textured black G-10 make up the handle, allowing for an exceptional grip and blade control while the knife is in use. Tucked into the handle are aerospace-grade titanium liners and a titanium liner lock, adding to the strength and durability of the CQC-13 SF. Jimping on the blade spine and liners provide for a more solid grip. A black pocket clip is mounted for blade tip-up pocket carry, and with an overall weight of 5 ounces, the CQC-13 SF is light enough to be carried comfortably with enough weight to make the knife feel substantial in your hand. The CQC-13 SF is made in America, and its materials and attention to craftsmanship and quality make it a knife that will never back down.

In addition to an ambidextrous thumb disc for smooth and easy opening in either the right or left hand, the CQC-13 SF features Emerson's proprietary wave open feature; a small hook on the blade's spine is caught when drawing the knife from a pocket, allowing the knife to be drawn and the blade deployed in one quick, simple motion. This provides exceptional capabilities in the field when the knife is needed in a hurry.

As a skilled martial artist and edged-weapons expert, Ernest Emerson knows what is needed to make a durable, high-quality combat or tactical knife. As an artist, he knows how to make a knife that is as beautiful as it is functional. The CQC-13 SF is a testament to his abilities, and it's a knife you'll feel proud to carry.

As an authorized Emerson Knives dealer, KnifeArt.com offers the CQC-13 SF backed by our full satisfaction guarantee, hassle-free return policy, and fast, free domestic shipping on orders over $150. Add the CQC-13 SF to your tactical or combat arsenal today!

I think it may replace my CQC8 as my best daily carry (at least for a while, maybe not). Beautiful Emerson 2-tone stonewash and polished blade. Sharp and smooth right out of the box.. Fit and Finish = perfect. Feels like a custom made glove in your hand. I like a large folder like this to provide me a less-than-lethal emergency option as a formidable closed-blade striking tool. I have bought a number of well-reviewed knives and ended up disappointed - but not with this one!
