In the highlands of Nepal during the 19th Century, the British army met their match when they tangled with the people of the Gorkha region of the Himalayas. These diminutive warriors were renowned for their fearlessness in combat, and the reputation of their primary weapon, the Kukri was the stuff of legends. Gurkha warriors were known for taking the heads of their enemies and legend says that once a kukri was drawn, it could not be resheathed until it had tasted the blood of an enemy. Today, the design of the kukri has met the modern era, with improvements in metallurgy, construction, and materials making a combat knife that has been unsurpassed for nearly two hundred years a force to be reckoned with in the 21st Century.
The design of the kukri lends itself to power and motion, and there is perhaps no other blade as recognizable in the world to knife enthusiasts. It's like a weapon that is part axe and part machete, and 100% whoop-ass. RMJ Tactical's version is 15.5" overall with a 10.5" blade of 1075 steel (HRC of 58-60) with a tungsten cerakote finished blade, which improves corrosion resistance. The 1/4" oversized stock is sharped down on the inside edge to a razor sharp edge, which is equally effective in combat as it cleaving through trees. At 24oz, the RMJ Kukri is a powerhouse, combining a curved inside cutting edge with a mind-boggling amount of mass and force.
The full-tang construction incorporates a G-10 3D machined handle which supports the kind of grip you need to wield this monster in wet or dry conditions. Available in Tactical Black, Dirty Olive, or Hyena brown, this kukri means business. It comes with a Kydex scabbard with low ride MOC straps for belt carry.
RMJ Tactical has been creating and making knives for nearly 20 years in the USA. Founded by former special forces, RMJ has a world-wide reputation for some of the best tactical knives used in the military and first responders today. Every RMJ Tactical knife comes with a lifetime warranty on the knife, (not the purchaser) against structural integrity and materials. As an authorized dealer, Knifeart.com gives you fast free shipping, and there are never restocking fees in the unlikely event you don't love your purchase.

I have two separate reviews here, the first will be about the store.
I ordered this blade thinking the material would be 80crv2 steel, as all of RMJ's products are 80crv2, and it is LISTED ON THIS WEBSITE as 80crv2. The blade arrived and I was surprised to see that it was actually made of 1075 steel. Not as advertised. I considered returning it but since 1075 steel is adequate for this particular blade, and it's a genuine RMJ kukri regardless, I decided to keep it and try it.
The blade itself is absolutely beautiful, and came with all the same authentication papers that my RMJ tomahawk did. The weight and balance are one of a kind, it feels like it would be effective on any type of swing or slash you use it with. The sheath is surprisingly great quality, there's no need to even consider buying a different one. This blade came with the best edge I've ever seen from a factory, it was shaving sharp and beautiful on day 1.
