The Southern GrindBad Monkey drop point folding knife is made for the demands of outdoor life in the Deep South or the northern mountains. Zac Brown of the Zac Brown Band created Southern Grind Knives to represent what he believes knives should be: rugged, dependable and highly functional. Brown conceived and designed the Bad Monkey tactical folder to be well-balanced and easy to handle, so you can focus on the task at hand. Southern Grind knives are proud to be made in the U.S., just like Zac Brown and his music.
The Bad Monkey Drop Point is 5.4 inches long when closed and has a blade length of four inches. The blade is partially serrated and made out of stainless 14C28N steel created by Swedish manufacturer Sandvik. This corrosion resistant upper midrange steel has an RC rating of 59-61 that holds an incredibly sharp edge. Its classic drop point flat grind is useful for a variety of thrusting and cutting tasks, especially when using the serrated section for soft or fibrous materials. The Bad Monkey tactical knife has titanium liners for a secure and reliable liner lock. A black Cerakote finish on the blade and liners adds additional wear resistance with a cool rebel look befitting the knife's name. The Emerson blade wave opening feature allows you to quickly and easily ready the blade for use with one hand as soon as removing it from your pocket.
The blade of the Bad Monkey Drop Point is held in a textured black twill carbon fiber handle. The black Cerakote over the carbon fiber matches the blade and gives the knife a uniform look. A total size of 9.1 inches and weight of 4.97 ounces make the partially serrated Bad Monkey both powerful and controllable. The black coated titanium pocket clip is mounted for blade tip-up carry, preventing accidental blade deployment. A short pocket clip design ensures a secure pocket carry with less interference. You can also carry or withdraw your knife by adding a lanyard to the lanyard hole in the handle.
The Southern Grind Bad Monkey is easy to open whether you are right or left handed with the dual thumb studs mounted on the blade spine. You can be confident in having a sure grip with the filed thumb rest on the liners and blade spine allowing you to complete the task at hand. Phosphor bronze bushings are inserted into the pivot for smooth opening and closing. The blade edge is razor sharp, making for a precise instrument that it is finely ground on both sides. The Bad Monkey has sweet lines and grind angles that make a strong tactical edge.
With its detailed design and keen sense of southern style, the Bad Monkey carbon fiber is an affordable way to be prepared for big challenge. Each knife comes with a Southern Grind leather koozie, keychain and black paracord bracelet. KnifeArt is proud to be an authorized dealer of Southern Grind knives.
