Rick Hinderer's XM-18 line welcomes a sleek, long-awaited addition, the XM-18 Sheepsfoot Tri Way Pivot edition. The Hinderer Tri Way Pivot system allows the user to switch between Nylon Teflon, Phosphorus Bronze and Bearings depending on the individuals preference.
With a 3.5-inch American-made Crucible CPM-20CV stainless steel blade, the XM-18 Sheepsfoot boasts an RC rating of 59-61, striking an excellent balance between hardness and toughness. The sheepsfoot blade shape, which is similar to the shape of the MP-1, provides a crisp cutting edge that sharpens well and offers superior edge retention, perfect for tactical applications or use in everyday carry cutting and slicing applications. The stonewashed finish looks sleek and provides a scratch hiding finish for use, keeping your knife looking look for years to come.
The XM-18 Sheepsfoot's machined black G-10 handle provides an exceptionally sturdy grip and blade control, even in when the knife is wet from sweat or rain. This Gen 6 edition XM-18 features a hardened steel lock bar insert on the stonewashed frame lock, ensuring the blade stays locked in place and prevents lock movement after thousands of openings. The handle has a stone washed titanium liner and ample jimping on the frame and blade spine provides excellent handling and control while the blade is in use.
The XM-18 Sheepsfoot with Tri Way Pivot is shipped with the pocket clip ready for tip-down pocket carry but features the hardware necessary to quickly and easily convert to a tip-up carry style. This knife features a large lanyard hole at the rear of the handle.
With fast, free domestic shipping on orders over $150, our satisfaction guarantee, and hassle-free return policy, you'll rest assured knowing the XM-18 Sheepsfoot is the perfect knife for your everyday carry.

First, I had a bad experience buying a forum knife Hinderer that had problems. I wanted to try a new one to have a true opinion and after talking with the owners of knifeart they sold me this version. I can say this, I have many knives from custom, hobacks, many chris reeves, and all the others. And this knife along with my large knifeart carbon fiber Sebenza are my favorite knives hands down. I love this knife, the lock up is the most secure I have felt. The ergonomics in my hands is so perfect I can't put it into words. I have many knives and several costing much much more, if I had to pick one knife or it was the end of the world and I had to take a few things and run I would leave all of my knives except this one. If I had room I would take the carbon sebenza as well as it is so sexy, but for real world use, and fit finish and trust this would be the knife I would choose. It is so smooth, dare I say smoother then every CRK I own, it falls shut and the gen 5 lock up is something out of this world. I call about once every couple weeks to tak to the guys at knifeart as im wanting badly to buy another, I do not like any of the blade shapes besides the sheepsfoot on this version, so just waiting for a new release maybe a exclusive with carbon fiber or full ti front scale? All in all I have bought a lot of knives that I sold and was upset for wasting the money, this one and knifeart exlusive carbon fiber Sebenza and Inkosi were my all time favorite purchases.

As well as the added lock bar insert, there are screws on both sides for the stand-offs, improved steel, numbered and a lanyard bead . I own many Hinderer knives, this one was the sharpest out of the box. Very happy with purchase!

A continuing evolution of the XM series. The new blade shape is just what I was looking for! The steel insert on the lock bar is a great improvement / upgrade to an already fantastic knife. The cpm-20cv steel is an added improvement. Thanks KnifeArt!,
