The Zero Tolerance 0456 is a high-quality American-made folding knife that carries many of the features of a high-end knife - top quality materials, high tolerance manufacturing, and a design that reflects modern aesthetics with an eye towards performance. This ZT flipper design comes acclaimed designer Dmitry Sinkevich.
The 0456 folding knife blade is constructed of USA-made CPM-20CV stainless steel, a high-quality particle steel (also called powdered steel) with high amounts of vanadium and chromium for excellent edge retention and stain resistance. The blade has flat grinds and is finished with stonewashed flats and a machine satin finish on the grinds. The wharncliff-style blade shape provides a long curving cutting edge for a variety of cutting and slicing tasks. The knife opens quickly thanks to the flipper build and the KVT ball-bearing pivot system.
The ZT 0456 has a full titanium handle with 3D machined contours and texturing that provide both great looks and a positive grip. The knife features a frame lock design in titanium with a stainless steel lock bar insert for increased lock life. Handle spacer has raised jimping and blue anodizing that matches the blued stainless steel pivot and pocket clip. The pocket clip can be mounted for right or left pocket carry.

my initial impressions were that the knife was massive. I came from a benchmade north fork which was compact.
I have never owned a ZT before, nor have I heard of them until I started chatting with someone on reddit..
The knife itself is fantastic, the blade shape is near perfect for how I use my knife. I was initially concerned with the lack of jimping on the spine but I have found that the knife doesn't suffer from lacking it. I also have noticed that there is a significant quality difference in the CTS 204P vs the s30v I was carrying. I can't recommend it enough.
This knife is huge! And it is heavy. Much heavier than any other folder I have used. The weight isnt as much of an issue for me because I wear levis every day and a sturdy gun belt. The way that the scales are shaped help mitigate the thickness of the knife when it is clipped in your pocket.
I didn't like the clip at first, I wanted a deep carry clip that didn't have a logo on it, but after clipping it on my pocket, I appreciate that it is exposed a bit because the size of the knife reduces the opening of my pocket. Having it exposed makes it easier to grab out of my pocket without having to put my hand inside. I will be making a lanyard for it, just in case I want it to be in my pocket fully. The blade length is a bit much for me to fully conceal it in my pocket. Oregon only issues a concealed handgun license, and I believe the blade length would classify it as a concealed weapon.
If you want something waaayyy over built with awesome steel, and weight and size have no bearing on your knife needs, then go for it.
If you want something more EDC friendly in regards to size and weight, I would look at a different model.
I personally like a hefty thick blade, so I went with the 0456 and I have no regrets. It will be a personal preference at this point.

Knife Art is an amazing place to buy from, incredibly quick for shipping, and my products arrived earlier than expected. The shipping cost is relatively high, basically on the level of countycomm. However, Knife Art sent me stickers as well as a very well crafted morale patch that I was not expecting at all. I definitely appreciated the extra goods. This knife is expensive, but Knife Art sells this knife 40 dollars below retail, and they were one of the only places I saw that had the 0456 in stock. I have ordered other products from here and have found my experience to be the same regardless of what I purchased.
Overall, Knife Art is a fantastic seller with prompt shipping, good customer service, and a variety of hard to find products. You can tell that they take pride in what they do, and it shows.
Hope this helps!
