Benchmade SOCP Dagger - Black Blade / CF-Elite Handle 391BK

The Benchmade 391BK SOCP with CF-Elite handle and a black blade is a significant improvement in the SOCP line. SOCP stands for Special Operatives Combat Program. This folder is an excellent complement to the Benchmade SOCP fixed blade dagger. Greg Thompson designed this knife particular for the hand-to-hand combat training that he does for the US Army Special Forces. He also holds a master's degree in industrial design, brings both academic and real-world knowledge to this project. The features found on this knife makes it ideal for both special operations field use and self-defense use.

Blade specs and features -

The overall length of the Benchmade 391BK is 10.15 inches, with a closed length of 5.68 inches and a blade length of 4.47 inches. The blade is a spear tip, dagger-style shape crafted out of D2 tool steel that is .121 inches thick. The D2 steel has a Rockwell hardness of 60-62 that gives the blade excellent edge holding ability. The blade also has a black coating to reduce glare and prevent rust and staining.

Handle specs and features -

The Benchmade 360BK sports a .42 inch black CF-elite handle with a glass breaker feature. A key feature of the handle is the finger placement groves in the handle. This pattern of machining provides an outstanding grip and lets you exactly know where the knife is in your hand. The CF-elite is a carbon fiber nylon resin that is extremely light and rigid. For such a long-bladed knife, it carries like a much lighter EDC. The folding dagger includes a tip-down reversible belt loop clip for ease of deployment regardless of your dominant hand. The handle has an axis lock system for bot a secure and ambidextrous lock. The knife can be wielded effectively with both the right and the left hand. The handle also features a lanyard hole.
