I'm very impressed with this knife. I have designed a number of knives for use in the outdoors, and my last design for a general-purpose, do most everything in the outdoors knife had the exact same blade design as the Survive Knives GSO 4.1! Extremely sharp, the blade cuts very well with little effort. The green canvas micarta scales are everything I could as for in a utility handle: long enough, not too fat or thin, a stop for your hand so your fingers don't slide onto the blade from a forceful thrust, and an excellent texture to the scales for a sure grip. The lanyard hole/extension is a unique and elegant design. The sheath is a brilliant design and superbly executed: made of a heavy-duty thermoplastic material (Kydex or something similar), a great drain channel, a positive grip on the knife when it snaps into place, lots of lashing holes and slots. The belt clip is a most clever design: one can attach or remove the sheath without taking your belt off, and the holes of the belt clip are spaced so perfectly so that the clip can be oriented for wearing the knife and sheath either vertically or horizontally on the belt. Or if you prefer, you can remove the belt clip altogether when lashing the sheath to a pack or pack straps. The price is even reasonable for a good quality sheath knife, and the Youtube videos featuring the Survive! Knives company owner give you the impression that you are dealing with quality people. In my opinion this is an exceptional product.
