The Zero Tolerance 0203CF is a Factory Special Series (FSS) edition of one of ZT's most overbuilt folding knives. Factory Special Series knives are produced in small quantities and sold only through select authorized dealers - once they are gone, they do not come back. We have carried and sold the standard 0203 since it was introduced, and this CF edition is a real step up in both blade steel and handle material over the already impressive base model.

A big upgrade on the 0203CF is the Bohler M390 stainless steel blade, which replaces the CPM M4 found on the standard version. M390 has a reputation as one of the best all-around blade steels on the market right now - you get excellent edge retention, high hardness, and real corrosion resistance that M4 just does not have. The 4-inch drop point blade wears a combination bead blast and stonewash working finish that hides scratches and wear from hard use, so this knife still looks good after months of daily carry. With 3.875 inches of cutting edge on a drop point profile, there is plenty of usable blade for everything from breaking down boxes to field dressing.

The other big change is the carbon fiber handle scales, which replace the G10 on the standard 0203. Carbon fiber is lighter and stiffer than G10 but just as tough, and at 6.1 ounces, the 0203CF has a noticeably faster, more balanced feel in the hand. The 3D-machined texture on the scales gives you a solid grip even when your hands are wet or dirty. The handle has a slight curve that sits well in the palm, and at 5.375 inches, you get a full four-finger purchase with room to spare. The solid pivot bolt runs through the entire handle, and you can adjust it with a 5/16-inch combo wrench - no special tools needed to tune the action in the field.

What really sets the 0203 platform apart is the ambidextrous DuraLock bar locking system - a hardened steel crossbar that locks the blade open with serious strength. Frame locks and liner locks favor one hand, but the DuraLock works the same for left and right-handed users. The textured lock button on the handle lets you close the knife with one hand from either side. The blade opens manually via thumb stud on phosphor bronze washers for smooth, reliable action that is easy to keep clean. The tip-up pocket clip keeps the knife riding deep in the pocket and ready to go.
