The next generation in the 0300 series of knives is the new 0308BLKTS Framelock flipper. The ZT 0308 is a ruggedly built frame-lock flipper knife that was made sturdy enough to take a lot of punishment, yet be a capable everyday carry knife.
When open, the ZT 0308BLKTS is 8.9" in overall length, with a 3.75" spearpoint blade. The .156" thick blade stock is CPM 20CV, stonewashed tiger striped stainless steel with a high chromium and vanadium content which is heat-treated to a Rockwell hardness of 59-61. This steel is incredibly hard, which allows for a long-lasting, razor-sharp edge cut after cut and a nice cutting profile that combines strength as well as fine slicing.
The blade deploys from the 5.2" handle with the aid of a flipper and a KVT ball-bearing system. A 1/4" pivot provides an extremely durable folding axis with a .5" nut you can adjust to suit your needs at home or in the field.
The handle is the combination of one scale being 3D sculpted black G10 composite and the other being machined aerospace-grade titanium with a black DLC coating. Together, they are designed for strength as well as a sure grip in just about any kind of weather or conditions, wet or dry. The frame lock keeps the blade fixed in place until you decide it is time to close, in heavy and light use alike. The titanium frame lock has a hardened steel lock bar insert. A reversible black DLC coated stainless steel pocket clip allows for tip-up deep pocket carry. Lanyard hole in the rear of the handle. At 6.9 oz., this formidable knife is capable of making short work of the toughest tasks. Very Nice, March 4, 2021Zero Tolerance 0308BLKTS Framelock Flipper Tiger StripeWow very nice knife. Built like a tank. My first 20 CV blade steel knife. Feels super sharp . I like big knifes so the size and weight are fine. I also have ZT—301 brother in OD green with tiger stripe blade. Love both of them. The 0308BLKTS flips open like a dream. New pivot design is nice and some Call it a peep hole in the handle looks cool to me. The only thing I would consider changing would be the clip. But for Now it is just fine.
