Winkler Combat Axe - Black Laminate - Black Cord Handle

The Winkler Combat Axe in black canvas laminate is the standard spike-back version of Winkler's special operations breaching axe. Where the Hammer Combat Axe has a hammer poll, this model features a spike on the opposite end of the cutting head for piercing, prying, and aggressive breaching tasks. The all-black profile of the laminate handle and black oxide head creates a fully tactical tool. The Combat Axe was developed for U.S. military and law enforcement use.

The head is 80CRV2 high carbon steel with a black oxide Caswell finish and a 2.5-inch cutting edge. The spike on the butt end provides a piercing point for breaching hard surfaces, prying, and ice work. 80CRV2 is a carbon-vanadium tool steel chosen for its resilience under repeated hard impact. An integral glass breaker extends past the end of the handle. Total length is 13.75 inches at 1 pound 11.1 ounces.

The black canvas laminate handle is equivalent to micarta and is wrapped with black paracord for cushioning, grip, and emergency cordage. Laminate will not absorb moisture or degrade in harsh conditions. The felt-lined Boltaron sheath enables a quiet draw, protects the edge, and mounts in multiple positions for belt, pack, or plate carrier carry.
