The White River Firecraft 4" Knife is from our exclusive Foundry Gear Line-up collection. This outstanding American-made knife is designed with the highest quality 3V steel for real-life survival situations. The blade is not produced with standard blade steel used - but with the CPM 3V which is specially designed for incredible toughness and durability that you would want for survival, outdoors and hard-use tasks.

The White River Firecraft knife is built to last and hold a razor sharp edge in tough survival situations. This high-quality survival knife is made in the USA with the finest workmanship from a small family company of master craftsmen.

The steel on this knife is particularly selected for our Foundry Gear line-up, it is wildly tough and holds a good edge. These two features are top of the list for a rugged survival tool. The blade has a hollow-grind and is finished with a fine stonewashed finish, perfect for hiding the inevitable scratches that come with use. Another feature of the steel is the fact that is produced using particle metallurgy process, the CPM stands for Crucible Particle Metallurgy, that yields an extremely even distribution of the carbides in the steel. CPM steel is cleaner and stronger and cuts more evenly than steel made with the cheaper standard process. The 3V steel is heat treated to a hardness rating of 59 HRC.

On top of the blade is a notch to use for striking a Ferro rod, aka fire stick, which is included with each knife and attaches to the sheath. The handle is 5" long making the full length of the White River Firecraft knife 9". Each handle has deep finger choil design which protects fingers when pressure is applied if using the knife for cutting. This knife will hold up to heavy batoning if you need to leverage it against larger tasks.

Every handle is designed with a polished stainless steel divot for use with a fire bow. The handle material on this knife is secured with stainless steel pins and is extremely comfortable in hand for heavy use. The canvas micarta was selected on this knife for its durability, traction and impact resistance, you just can't go wrong with canvas micarta in almost any environment.

The sheath on this knife meets the quality of the knife, something to look for when selecting a fixed blade knife. It is custom molded Kydex, with a leather swivel mount and a steel ring so that you can move comfortably when this is attached to your belt or rig. The Ferro stick is mounted on the top of the sheath, making this a complete survival package.

The Firecraft 4" 3V knife is exclusively handcrafted in Michigan by White River Knives where custom quality matters. Each knife is hand finished precision grind and leather hone razor sharp with a lifetime guarantee. If you have any problems with this knife for life, you can return it for repair or replacement, free of charge, no questions asked.

Overall, this knife is an excellent hardcore survival tactical tool that will withstand the wear and tear of the field.

Fit and finish is excellent. A near mirror blade finish. Kydex sheath is best for outdoor/survival application, but the leather one is more esthetic. Handle is anatomically very comfortable and lanyard holes are perfect. Dorsal blade jimping is more forward than my liking. Excellent knife. I have two of these and one 7andquot; version.
