In early 1998, Larry Connelley started a website devoted to featuring the work of high quality knives and knifemakers. KnifeArt.com was among the first Internet-only companies to sell custom knives and has provided consistent support for both knifemaking and collecting. Their name and logo reflects the founding philosophy that knifemaking is a functional art form. Most of their products are made in America and all come from only the finest knifemakers.
KnifeArt.com was designed to help revolutionize the fine knives industry online by adding top quality color photos, knifemaker bios, insightful knife articles, a vast selection, secure online ordering, consistent pricing, global delivery and an easy-to-use structure.
After graduating from the historic Little Rock Central High, Connelley earned a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Tulane University of New Orleans, Louisiana in ‘97 (where he later became the President of the Tulane Alumni Association) and Master of Business Administration from the University of Arkansas, Little Rock in ‘02. Even before those degrees that helped in the creation and growth of KnifeArt.com, Connelley had long been involved with the Internet and strongly believed in its amazing capabilities to bring people together from across the street or around the world. His hobbies include traveling, printmaking, hiking, fishing, entrepreneurship and laughing with friends and family over a great meal.
