The titanium frame lock has a "bank vault" lockup from extremely high tolerances and a handle lapped perfectly flat. A ceramic lock ball inlaid into the titanium lockbar interfaces with the hardened steel blade tang for positive engagement with no lock rock. The extremely hard ceramic ball virtually eliminates the play that softer titanium-on-metal locks develop over time. The pivot runs on a solid-state phosphor bronze bushing designed to retain lubrication. The opening is smooth and controlled, with a detent that holds the blade closed until you need it.
