The 80CrV2 high carbon stainless steel alloy is hard with an HRC of 57-58, but not so hard as to be impossible to maintain a sharp edge but extremely flexible. The high vanadium content reduces corrosion and gives the Contingency strength as well as hardness, which are both critical in a high-use, everyday carry knife. The 5/32" blade stock is honed to a razor's edge, which can take a lot of punishment. The black oxide no-glare finish prevents marring, reduces oxidation, and improves stealth in low-light conditions. Jimping on the back of the blade gives you extra support for power and precise cutting.

The tapered tang extends to the end of the handle for an outstanding in-hand balance. The grip is going to fit your hand perfectly to provide comfort and a sure grip in wet or dry conditions.
