The head is forged from a single piece of 80CRV2 carbon steel with a 2.5-inch cutting edge and a hammer poll on the opposite end. The hammer poll provides a flat striking surface for breaching, driving, and pounding tasks where a blunt impact tool is needed. The Caswell black finish across the entire head reduces glare and provides a barrier against rust. 80CRV2 is a carbon-vanadium tool steel chosen for its toughness and resilience under hard impact.

The sculpted black canvas laminate handle, equivalent to micarta, is shaped for a secure two-hand or one-hand grip depending on the task. Black paracord wrapping over the laminate adds cushion, improves grip in wet conditions, and provides an emergency supply of cordage. An integral glass breaker extends past the end of the handle for emergency extraction and rescue.
