7-Day Inspection PeriodEvery knife comes with a 7-day inspection period starting from the delivery date. Hold it, check the fit, look it over, and make sure it is the right knife for you. If everything looks good, enjoy your new knife. If not, we will make it right. ExchangesIf the knife you received is not quite right, we are always happy to exchange it for any current in-stock item at no additional fee. Exchanges never have restocking fees - just send it back and we will get the right knife to you. The item must be in unused condition with all original packaging. Once we receive the return in perfect condition and process it, we will ship your new selection. If you are not sure which knife is the right fit, call us at 800-564-3327 before ordering - we would rather help you pick the right one the first time. ReturnsIf you need to return a knife, please contact us within the 7-day inspection period to receive return instructions before sending anything back. Returned items must be in the same condition they were shipped to you, with all original packaging, documentation, and materials included. Please do not return items that have been carried, scratched, or modified in any way. We recommend shipping your return with full insurance and secure packaging. Return shipping costs are the responsibility of the buyer. Returns and exchanges are normally processed within seven business days of receipt. Shipping charges are not refundable. Restocking FeesYour first return in a calendar year has no restocking fee - that is, one free return per household, per year. After that, there is a 15% restocking fee on each additional item returned within the same calendar year. If your order shipped with free shipping, the actual shipping cost will be deducted from your refund. Remember, exchanges never have restocking fees - if you want a different knife instead of a refund, there is no fee. Extended Exchanges for Holiday GiftsBuying a knife as a gift? We extend our exchange period to January 10th for all purchases made during the month of December. This gives you added confidence when gift-giving - if the recipient wants a different model, we will handle the exchange with no restocking fees and no hassle. The item must be in unused condition with all original packaging. Non-Returnable ItemsDue to their nature, opened knife sharpeners, books, flashlights, and similar accessories cannot be returned once opened. If you have questions about any of these products before ordering, we are happy to help you decide. Natural handle materials such as wood, bone, or horn are not warranted by KnifeArt.com LLC and are generally not covered by the maker's warranty. Preventive care can help preserve natural materials, but some aging and change over time is normal. We do not ship products to third parties for engraving, scrimshaw, custom sheaths, or other alterations. International OrdersReturns are not accepted on international orders. If you receive a defective product or have a warranty issue, please contact the manufacturer directly for resolution. Any customs fees are the responsibility of the purchaser. We are not responsible for foreign delays, seizures, or customs charges. Unless additional insurance is requested and purchased, international packages that are not delivered are insured to a maximum of $100. Order Changes and CancellationsIf you need to change your order before it ships, just let us know, and we will gladly modify it. There may be a $5 cancellation fee for cancelled orders, particularly for customers with frequent or repeated cancellations.
