Chris Reeve Knives Inyoni - MagnaCut - Natural Canvas Micarta (One Per Household, Per Year)
Chris Reeve Knives Inyoni - MagnaCut - Natural Canvas Micarta (One Per Household, Per Year)
Chris Reeve Knives carry a decades-old reputation for being some of the most striking, precision-built folding knives on the market. The attention to detail, aesthetic beauty and function isn't lost on the Inyoni. Chris Reeve Knives brings many traditions together, and this knife honors the Zulu word for "bird" in its name. This is a fixed blade model that Chris Reeve previously designed and it has been brought back into production in 2022. The CRK Inyoni features a narrower blade that has been designed for sportsmen who rely on a good knife for fish and bird processing, where a thick-bladed big game skinner just won't do.
The Inyoni is full-tang constructed from the new CPM MagnaCut stainless steel. At 7.957" in overall length, the Inyoni has a 3.775" long, drop point blade which is perfect for the delicate work of dressing fowl and fish alike. The stonewash finish reduces moisture adhesion and prevents scuffing and marring. The update of CPM MagnaCut steel brings the knife to a whole other level, with a Rockwell hardness of 63-64, allowing a ridiculously sharp edge to endure cut after cut. The .125" thick blade stock gives this knife a leaner cutting profile, yet is tough enough that it is anything but delicate.
This one comes in natural canvas micarta scales that give you a sure grip in wet or dry conditions and may be removed for cleaning. The canvas micarta provides the comfortable feel of organic material with the durability of a synthetic. A lanyard hole on the butt of the handle gives you various options for use with paracord from bushcraft to just making sure your knife isn't going to get lost. At 2.4oz, the Inyoni won't weigh you down, and you'll hardly realize it is there until you reach for it. You get a lot of blade length for the weight of this knife. The Kydex sheath keeps it secure and the included 5/64" wrench lets you remove the scales for cleaning.
