The Chris Reeve Large Sebenza 31 Insingo with Box Elder Burl inlay, piece #5, features a one-of-a-kind wood grain pattern on an American-made knife that is unique from every other Sebenza produced. The 3.61-inch insingo blade excels at slicing with a curved belly that puts more cutting edge to work with each stroke. The Large Sebenza is the right choice for field work, large hands, and glove use. A right-handed titanium thumb stud provides one-hand opening and the frame lock allows one-handed closing.

The insingo blade shape was developed in collaboration between KnifeArt and Chris Reeve Knives. The stainless MagnaCut blade has a shallow hollow grind that is almost like a flat grind, providing excellent cutting ability and edge strength. The blade spine acts as a thumb rest with precision-machined jimping for traction. The stonewashed finish hides scratches and gives a uniform appearance. CPM MagnaCut at 63-64 HRC provides the best edge retention the Sebenza has ever offered.

Box Elder Burl inlays add natural beauty and a warmer, more substantial feel compared to flat titanium. The raised inlays give you more to hold onto. The fit and finish is considerably higher than standard folders. The titanium frame lock has a "bank vault" feel from extremely high tolerances and a handle lapped perfectly flat. A ceramic lock ball inlaid into the titanium lockbar interfaces with the hardened steel blade tang for positive engagement with no lock rock. The extremely hard ceramic virtually eliminates the play that softer titanium-on-metal surfaces develop over time. The pivot features a solid-state phosphor bronze bushing designed to retain lubrication. The opening is smooth and controlled, with a detent holding the blade closed until needed.
