Forged from tough 80CrV2 steel with a black oxide no-glare finish, the Ridge Line Hatchet features a 6" head and a 3" cutting edge, offering more bite than any other Winkler hatchet thanks to its wider blade. At 13 7/8" overall length, it’s easy to maneuver, and the use of 1/4" stock steel - inspired by the Twenty 24 model - gives it excellent balance and quicker action compared to heavier 3/8" builds.

Winkler also designed the Ridge Line Hatchet for real-world durability. A common repair on other full tang axes is damage to long handle scales, the Ridge Line shortens the scales and leaves the tang exposed, so the steel takes the brunt of impact abuse. The design also incorporates a rear spike, effective for breaching, combat applications, or even digging tasks when needed.

The fast draw carrier is made from lined Boltaron for rugged reliability, featuring an HD shockcord quick-release retention system that keeps the hatchet secure yet ready at a moment’s notice.
