- verified customerBeautiful knife and great service from Knife Art.
The real negative is the $495.00 cost for this knife, when you can buy the Chris Reeve Green Beret 5.5inch for $325.00 and its just as awesome as the Hunter, jut allot less $.
Both great knives and I can't fault either one of them, as I own both and can compare them side by side I would say that I prefer the CRGBmore. The fit and finish of the GB in the sheath is much more snug and doesn't rattle around like the Hunter does. If I had been able to physically view both knives in person I would have only purchased the CRGB. My deciding factor would have been the sheath quality on the CRGB seems to be much better made and more robust as well as it being $170 cheaper than the Spartan Hunter. I intend keeping them both as I've got one in the black and the other one is tan and I really do like them both. The Hunter comes with a lifetime warranty which is a big plus and I'm led to believe Mr Harsey still grinds these knives personally, possibly the reason the much higher price point. would I buy another one, if this one went missing? Most definitely, its still worth every cent even at the higher price point.
