The black canvas laminate version of the Winkler Belt Knife is the no-nonsense tactical choice. Canvas laminate (a micarta-like material) is a layered composite that is tough, lightweight, and remains grippy when wet or in humid environments. It will not swell, crack, or change shape regardless of conditions, which is why it is the preferred handle material for operators who need a knife that performs the same way in a downpour as it does in the desert. The smooth black finish gives this Belt Knife a clean, all-business look that pairs well with the black Caswell blade finish.
Underneath the handle is the same 4.5-inch 80CRV2 carbon steel blade with a black Caswell no-glare finish, full tapered tang, and thumb index file work that defines the Belt Knife series. At 9 inches overall, this is one of the lighter configurations in the Belt Knife range thanks to the synthetic handle material. It ships with a felt-lined Boltaron (a Kydex-like material) scabbard with a leather cover for quiet draw and versatile carry. Handmade in Boone, North Carolina by Daniel Winkler and his team.

This is the most perfect knife I have ever held in my hand there is no noticeable transition between the steel and the micarta on the handle just smooth .The gal is perfect and the feel is great the finish is without a flaw..Now as for the sheath the lady who does the leather work for these knives does some of the best work I have color and stitching are perfectly done the sheath is felt lined so no scratching will happen and the draw is quiet .The sheath also comes with a leather loop for your belt a metal clip for belt or boot or to clip to your waistband without a belt it also came with molle clips to attach to a moole system like that on a pack all together in my opinion you could not ask for any more care or concern for the buyer of this great knife than has been shown by the people who worked so hard to make such a great product.I will be buying another of these knives (differ model) and will recommend them to everyone I know .I will be proud that these knives will serve my kids and grandkids long after I am gone .I am proud to own this knife and would like to thank the people who built it as I know it will help me keep myself and my family safe .
