Benchmade 537GY-03 Bailout - CPM-M4

The Benchmade 537GY-03 Bailout is a lightweight tactical folder built around CPM M4 high-speed steel in a black anodized 6061-T6 aluminum frame. The Bailout platform was designed for first responders and military personnel who need a knife they can deploy fast with either hand and trust under hard use. At 2.70 ounces with a 3.38-inch tanto blade, it carries like a much smaller knife but cuts like a full-size folder.

The blade is CPM M4 steel at 62-64 HRC with a Tungsten Gray Cerakote finish. M4 is a high-speed tool steel with outstanding edge retention and toughness. It is not stainless, so the Cerakote coating serves as the primary corrosion barrier while also eliminating blade glare. The tanto blade profile provides a reinforced tip for piercing and prying tasks that would damage a thinner point geometry. Blade thickness is 0.09 inches. Dual thumb studs allow deployment from either hand.

The handle is black anodized 6061-T6 aluminum with a diamond checkered pattern for positive grip. The aluminum construction keeps weight down while providing rigid, rattle-free lockup through the AXIS lock mechanism. An aluminum pommel at the base of the handle incorporates a lanyard slot and a carbide glass breaker for emergency vehicle extraction. The deep-carry pocket clip is reversible for left or right-hand tip-up carry. Overall length is 8.09 inches.
