The drop point blade is 3.24" in length, and with a Rockwell hardness of 58-60, the .090" thick steel can be sharpened down to a razor sharp edge it will hold for a long time. Steel of this kind has the benefit of being flexible enough to have some give when force is applied without snapping in two, but also hard enough to maintain an impressive cutting edge.
