The Winkler Blue Ridge Crusher is one of Daniel Winkler's most versatile fixed blades, a purpose-built evolution of the proven Blue Ridge Hunter now equipped with a crusher spike that dramatically expands its utility in the field. Born from the same North Carolina workshop where Winkler has been forging cutting tools since 1988, the Blue Ridge Crusher carries that lineage of American craftsmanship into a compact, hard-use package that hunters, outdoorsmen, and special operations personnel trust equally.
At the heart of the Blue Ridge Crusher is a 4-inch blade of 80CrV2 high-carbon steel, finished with a black oxide coating that eliminates glare and provides corrosion defense in wet environments. The flat grind geometry delivers outstanding slicing performance, while the blade's 3/16-inch thickness and skeletonized full tang keep the knife light without sacrificing rigidity. A filed thumb rest on the spine adds purchase and control during detailed work, and a lanyard hole at the butt of the handle offers flexible carry options beyond the sheath.
What sets the Crusher apart from the standard Blue Ridge Hunter is its namesake feature: the rear crusher handle pommel.
