The Winkler Blue Ridge Crusher in black laminate is the tactical version of Winkler's compact utility fixed blade. The Crusher is built as a multi-purpose tool: the blade handles cutting and slicing while the thick spine and pommel can be used for pounding, prying, and crushing tasks that would damage a thinner knife. At 8.25 inches overall and 5.5 ounces, it carries the utility of a much larger tool in a belt knife package.

The blade is 80CRV2 high carbon steel with a black oxide Caswell finish. 80CRV2 provides the impact toughness the Crusher needs to absorb pounding and prying without edge damage. The blade handles cutting tasks while the robust spine and pommel serve as an impact surface for tasks that go beyond what a normal knife is designed to do. The black laminate handle and black oxide blade create an all-dark profile.
