The extremely hard ceramic ball virtually eliminates the play that softer titanium-on-metal locks develop over time. The pivot runs on a solid-state phosphor bronze bushing designed to retain lubrication. The opening is smooth and controlled, with a detent that holds the blade closed until you need it.

The knife is user-serviceable through complete disassembly and reassembly, and features a matching blasted titanium pocket clip offset from the lockbar, a lanyard for pocket removal and handling, microfiber cloth, Loctite, fluorinated grease, 5/64" L wrench, and documentation.
