The Winkler Huntsman in walnut is the lighter-grain hardwood option in the Huntsman lineup. Walnut is a harder, more durable hardwood with a lighter grain and stain than maple. Its tighter grain structure resists wear and provides long-term durability for a knife that will see years of field use. The Huntsman design is adapted from a small hunting knife Master Bladesmith Daniel Winkler made by hand in the 1990s and has become one of the most popular fixed blades in the Winkler production range.

The 3.5-inch blade is 80CRV2 high carbon steel with a black oxide Caswell finish. 80CRV2 provides the toughness and edge retention that working outdoorsmen need from a knife they rely on season after season. The drop point profile handles game dressing, food prep, and general camp tasks with a geometry that keeps the tip strong and the belly useful for skinning. File work on the thumb rest provides blade control. Blade thickness is 3/16 inch on a skeletonized full tang. Overall length is 7.5 inches.
