The Chris Reeve Large Sebenza 31 Insingo with Box Elder Burl inlay, piece #3, is an individually crafted, American-made knife with a one-of-a-kind wood grain pattern. The 3.61-inch insingo blade excels at slicing tasks with a curved belly that puts more cutting edge to work with each stroke. The Large Sebenza is designed for field-ready work, users with large hands, and glove wearers. A right-handed titanium thumb stud provides one-hand opening and the frame lock allows one-handed closing.

The insingo blade shape was developed in collaboration between KnifeArt and Chris Reeve Knives. The stainless MagnaCut blade has a shallow hollow grind that is almost like a flat grind, delivering excellent cutting ability and edge strength. The blade spine serves as a thumb rest with clean, precision-machined jimping for traction. The stonewashed finish hides scratches and gives a uniform appearance. CPM MagnaCut at 63-64 HRC provides the best edge performance the Sebenza has ever carried.

Box Elder Burl is a premium wood inlay that adds warmth, natural beauty, and a more substantial feel in the hand compared to flat titanium. The raised inlays give you more to hold onto. The fit and finish is considerably higher than standard folders. The titanium frame lock delivers a "bank vault" lockup from extremely high tolerances and a handle lapped perfectly flat. A ceramic lock ball inlaid into the titanium lockbar interfaces with the hardened steel blade tang for positive engagement with no lock rock, virtually eliminating the wear that standard titanium-on-metal surfaces develop. The pivot runs on a solid-state phosphor bronze bushing designed to retain lubrication. The opening is smooth and controlled, with a detent holding the blade closed until needed.
