The Chris Reeve Green Beret 5.5" tactical fixed blade knife with partial serrations and flat dark earth KG gun coating was designed by William W. Harsey to keep up with and demands and requirements of the U.S. Army's most elite service members. Every aspect of the Green Beret 5.5" has been well thought out and rigorously tested to ensure performance and reliability in the toughest environments. Only the highest quality materials that will stand up to extremely harsh environments are used in the construction of this knife. The 5.5" blade is a full tang design and constructed of American made CPM S35VN steel with hollow grinds for maximum edge retention. Partial serrations for rope cutting. 55-57 RC hardness so that this blade can stand up repeated heavy cutting tasks. The Green Beret has an integral lanyard hole on the rear of the handle with a cord lanyard attached.
The Chris Reeve Green Beret is the non-serialized civilian version of the U.S. Army Special Forces "Yarborough" knife issued to spec ops graduates.
This is my second knife like this and I have only GREAT thing to say about this knife. It's very well balanced, practical, and holds it's edge very well. That being said, I'm not a huge fan of the sheath it comes with. Overall, I'm very satisfied with my purchase.
