White River Ursus Cub

The White River Ursus Cub is the compact version of the Ursus platform. The Ursus Cub knife runs a 3.5 inch blade, a 7.6 inch overall length, and weighs 4.9 oz. That is the sweet spot for an EDC fixed blade. You will actually wear it every day instead of leaving it in a pack.

The White River Ursus Cub MagnaCut uses CPM MagnaCut steel, the same steel White River puts on the full-size Ursus 45. MagnaCut is a newer stainless that holds an edge longer than S35VN and still fights rust, which matters on a knife that will see food prep, fish, and wet conditions. The Cub also keeps the same spine geometry as the 45, so it throws sparks off the ferro rod that ships with it.

Every Cub comes with a Kydex Multiposition Rig and a ferro rod fire starter. You can run it on a belt, a pack strap, or scout-carry without swapping sheaths. The handle scales are Micarta, shaped the same way the full size Ursus is shaped, so if you have carried the 45 the grip will feel familiar. Reach for the Cub when the 45 is more knife than the job calls for.
